Here is the Welcome Letter by the founding member of HSR and Chairman of EFMC 14 John Tsamopoulos:

Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, I would like to warmly invite you to the 14th EuEFropean Fluid Mechanics Conference that will take place in Athens, Greece on September 13-16, 2022.

The Local Organizing Committee along with supporting scientific associations, have developed an exceptional scientific program focusing on recent advances and future trends in fluid mechanics, bringing together the European fluid mechanics community for extensive discussion and networking opportunities, especially after such a long period of lockdowns and restrictions in meeting physically.

Plenary lectures, keynote lectures, mini symposia, workshops and oral presentations will make up the program, all delivered by distinguished invited speakers, active academics and researchers in the field of fluid mechanics and promising members of our scientific community, either students or young scientists.

Alongside the technical program, participants will enjoy Athens, a destination of mythical dimensions, historical sites and modern new buildings, one of which is the conference venue, which allows for a perfect event for science, education, networking and lasting memories.

The Mayor of the City of Athens, Mr. Kostas Bakoyannis will honor us with his presence to officially declare the Opening of the 14th European Fluid Mechanics Conference.

We look forward to welcoming you to Greece, a country widely known for the quality of its scientists, the deep roots to scientific thinking and of course its hospitality in some of the most beautiful natural environments one can encounter on our planet.
