Payatakes<br>1945 &#8211; 2009<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Alkiviades Ch. Payatakes passed away on 29 November 2009 after a valiant battle with cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alkis Payatakes was born in Athens, Greece, on August 22, 1945. He started his academic career at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Houston in the US (1974-1981), and since 1981 he had been Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras in Greece. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alkiviades Ch.
